Pension Danmark built the project Skibet and Broen in Køge and Vandkunsten is the architect.
For Broen, a housing community with 28 apartments for residents of 50+, we contribute with the interior design to the building's common rooms. The project is conceived as part of the overall resident involvement, and a significant effort in building the residents' community.
The involvement process has two purposes:
- To kickstart the building of a community among future residents.
- Increase the ownership of the common rooms with the result that they feel homier and that people will take better care of the furniture.
By offering high quality architecture and common spaces designed in ways that support the community and the sense of belonging, we are able to improve the quality of life of residents.
The project is ready for occupancy on 1 April 2020.
